Top 5 Travel and Local Apps Performance in Hungary Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the travel and local app landscape in Hungary showcased varied performance dynamics across the top five applications on a unified platform, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Vonatinfó maintained a steady download rate, starting at around 10.9K weekly downloads and experiencing minor fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 8.8K downloads. The app's weekly active users saw a peak of about 445K in mid-November before settling at roughly 352K by the end of December.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at 4.7K and climbing to a peak of 7.5K in late December. Active users also grew, with a low of 178K in mid-November and reaching a high of 298K towards the end of the quarter.

Kormányablak experienced a significant spike in downloads, jumping from 2.3K in late December to 6.8K by the end of the year.

Wizz Air - Book, Travel & Save showed a varied download pattern, with a notable increase from 2.7K in mid-December to 4.9K at the end of the month. The app’s active users peaked at 105K mid-December before decreasing slightly to 95K by the year's end.

Finally, Dott (previously TIER) witnessed a dramatic rise in downloads from just over 100 in early October to nearly 12.9K by mid-November. Active users mirrored this trend, peaking at approximately 13.7K in late November.
